Ingredients

1 lb penne

3/4 lb bacon, cut into short strips

3 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves of garlic, peeled and smashed

2 tsp fresh or 1tsp dried rosemary leaves, chopped

1/2 cup parmesan

Method

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.

In a saute pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and saute the garlic until golden.

Add the rosemary and stir to flavor the oil, then add the bacon and cook until just done. Don’t let the bacon crisp.

Cook penne until al dente, toss with the sauce and parmesan, and serve.

Note: additional olive oil can be drizzled over pasta if desired.
