Ingredients

2 boneless strip steaks, 2 inches thick

olive oil

10 garlic cloves, peeled

2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary

salt and pepper

Method

In a large skillet add 1/3 cup of olive oil and garlic and cook over medium heat until garlic starts to turn golden. Add rosemary, stir, and set aside.

In a separate skillet, add 1 tbsp of olive oil and turn heat to high.

Season steaks on both sides with salt and pepper.

When olive oil is hot, add the steaks and cook until browned 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer steaks to a cutting board and cut, at an angle, into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Return skillet with the garlic and rosemary to stove and turn heat to medium-high.

When the mixture starts to simmer, add the slices of steak and cook for about 1 minute, turning meat often.

Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.
