Ingredients
1lb rigatoni
280z can crushed tomatoes
One onion, chopped
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Fine sea salt and ground black pepper
Grated Parmesan cheese
Method
In a large pot, melt better over medium heat.
Add onion and cook for 5 minutes, until golden.
Add tomatoes and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
Cook rigatoni according to directions, drain pasta reserving 1/2 pasta water.
Add cream and crushed red pepper flakes to the tomato sauce. Salt and pepper to taste.
Add pasta to sauce and toss to coat, adding pasta water until desire thickness is achieved.
Serve with grated Parmesan.
